In this tutorial we will be going over the first steps of setting up a new listing. Lets dive in!

Navigate to your listings:

On your dashboard, navigate to your listing manager by clicking the "View All Listings" tab on the left side, located in the Listing Showcase portion of your AgentFire Arsenal.

Creating A New Listing:

Once you are in your listing manager, to create a new listing, simply click on one of the add new buttons available on your screen.

This will bring you to a new blank listing admin page. The first thing you will want to do is to give your new listing a title. Since this will determine how it is represented in your url, we suggest using the listing's street address.

Assign Listing Attributes:

Next you will want to start assigning your new listing the attributes it will be associated with. You can locate these attributes on the right side of your screen.

Setting the Featured Image:

Finally you will want to give your new listing a featured image that will display on it’s preview. To do this just click the set featured image link and upload the desired photo.

Configuring your Listing Options

Before you start building out your listing’s layout, you will want to first decide whether to use this as an integrated, or standalone listing.

An Integrated Listing: Displays the header and footer of your site, showing end users navigation options, logos and optional contact options.  Use this if you plan to simply create an overview page of your active, pending or sold properties within your site.

A Standalone Listing: Hides all but the listing contents, which can be effectively used together with SEO URL Masking to create individual property websites for your customers.

In this example of URL masking, the domain name is masking the real address where the listing resides on your site.  Your site keeps the valuable SEO, while you continue to offer a dedicated website destination for your listing.

With a single click you can set the listing to be standalone or integrated.

Setting up your property details:

Next you will want to input your property details. This content gets pulled into various aspects of your listing (ex. the listing's preview). You can provide a unique title describing that listing as well as enter in other valuable listing content.

Setting up your property specs:

Finally, you will want to input the property specs that reflect this listing.

Once you have added the new spec, you will be presented with a few different options. You will need to decide:

  1. What Icon to use for the data point you plan to add.  (Example: Bds/baths/Sqft)
  2. That Title it should use.
  3. What it's value is (Example: 2 bedrooms)
  4. What Sections you would like this data shown in.  For more on sections, continue to part 2 of the tutorial.

Note: You can either select from one of our preloaded icons -or- upload one of your own (ex. flaticon.com).

Next you will want to define what the spec is and input its value.

Finally, you will want to assign where you would like that spec to display. Examples:

  • Preview - will display it in the listing’s preview.
  • Hero - will display it in the listing’s header section.
  • About - will display it in the listing’s about section.

Saving Your changes

Once you have completed the page settings shown above, you are ready to move on to Part 2 of your setup.  The visual layout and display of your listing.  You will want to next follow to Part 2 of this tutorial where we show you how to build your listing’s layout.
