Adding Your XML Sitemaps

A Google Webmaster tools account will allow you to monitor your site health, as well as some other useful stats ( if anything is adversely affecting your site, you'll receive an email along with a 'message' in your Google Webmaster tools control panel.

A Google Webmaster tools account is also important in hooking up your XML Sitemap, which is basically something that makes it much easier for Google to index all of the great content (and IDX listings) on your Agentfire website. Once you've setup a Google Webmaster Tools Account, make sure to check out our 'Adding your XML Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools' tutorial!

To setup a Google Webmaster Tools account:

1) Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

2) Locate and click Add Property on the top left

3) Type 'yourdomain.com' (leave off the http:// and www)

4) On the next page, you'll be asked to verify your Google Webmaster Tools account. Click the 'Alternate Verification Methods' tab and select 'HTML Tag'

5) Copy the Meta Tag in full as displayed. 

6) Leave this browser window (or tab) open and open a new internet window (or tab) to log into your website's admin panel.  

NOTE: Your website can be accessed by navigating to the homepage and adding /wp-admin/ to the url.  (You may also use the "Admin" menu button in your site footer). 

Navigate to Settings > AgentFire Settings > Header/Footer Scripts & Metas.

7) Paste the meta tag you copied from the Google Webmaster Tools verification method page into the Site Meta Tags field shown on the page. 

Be sure to Save your Changes! 

8) Head back to the browser tab or window where the verification is located and click the 'Verify' button on the bottom of the page

**Please Note The Verification process my take 24 hours. If the site fails to verify, try again the following day
