This tool is only available for our AF IDX users.
Search Restrictions lets agents control which filters appear on the base property search page. Instead of a fixed set of filters, you can choose to show or hide specific options, tailoring the interface to suit your workflow or client needs.
Note: Any change in the Search Restrictions will impact search results, meaning it will exclude properties from the saved searches you already created and are using on certain pages, as well as the base IDX search page.
Key Benefits:
Targeted Filter Control
Simplify the search page by displaying only the filters you use, reducing clutter and improving usability.
Custom Experience
Highlight the most important filters (e.g., price, property type, school district) and hide less relevant ones to align with your market focus.
Time-Saving
A cleaner, more focused filter set speeds up searches and helps agents and clients pinpoint the right properties more quickly.
Unlike most IDX platforms with static filters, our system gives you full flexibility. Thanks to enhanced data access, Search Restrictions puts you in control of the search interface—ideal for fast-changing markets or specific client needs.
To adjust filter visibility:
-
Go to the advanced (hamburger) menu.
-
Click on Site tools --> AgentFire IDX.
-
Then Search Restrictions.
Once you're in Search Restrictions, you have various options on what you can adjust, such as:
1. Forced Registration: Limit the number of views of IDX properties on your website.
Once you set the Listings Limit, a forced registration CTA will prompt after the x number of listing views, which will require leads to register/create an account to continue viewing listings, as shown below:
If you'd like to apply this feature to an individual listing, you can simply add #forceRegistration at the end of the URL of any listing, which would result in the immediate Forced Registration CTA prompt.
2. Location Filtering: Allow search in certain locations, or exclude certain locations from the search.
3. Price Filter: Set the Minimum/Maximum price for the search (This will only include listings that fit the minimum and maximum price set).
4. Filters (Uncheck the filters you would like to remove from the IDX search page).
Once you're done with the changes, simply hit Update, and these changes will reflect immediately on your base IDX page.
